SAG • AFTRA A graduate of Fordham University and NYU, Elza Zagreda is an actress, writer and comedienne. Elza has written and performed 4 solo comedies since 2005.
Her plays have garnered both critical and popular reviews in New York, Los Angeles, Detroit and Boston. She is honored to see her characters from her plays (namely wacky Aunt Shirley and the Albanians in the Bronx who hide guns in their underwear) make an appearance in Anne Giordano's play The Resistible Rise of Fatlinda Paloka. Elza starred in the New York City Fall 2010 production of the show.

As an actress she has worked in such venues as The Helen Hayes
Theatre (sharing a stage with Vanessa Redgrave & Tim Robbins),
Classic Stage and the West End Theatre in New York City. She has
appeared in works written and directed by Joan Kane, Eve Ensler
(The Vagina Monologues) and Ellen McLaughlin (Tongues of a Bird,
Helen, The Persian, Trojan Women). Her recent television
appearances include A gifted comedienne, Elza appeared as one of the lovely blondes featured in the 1-800-CALL-ATT commercial with Carrot Top. Elza regularly performs stand up throughout the country and was featured in 'Funniest Female Comics in NYC.' As an actress and producer, Elza can be seen in Beneath the Surface, a SAG short film featured in the short corner at the Cannes Film Festival, 2014.
